Give each section of the road a purpose
Marrakech and Fes can make a strong beginning and finish for a private journey. The road between them is not filler. It is where the High Atlas, southern valleys, and desert experience either become part of the trip or turn into a race against the clock.
A considered route gives the crossing its own day. It protects the desert overnight from a late arrival and gives you time to settle into Fes.
