Escape to Morocco is the guide-led practice of Abdellatif Bougoula, a licensed Moroccan cultural guide based in Marrakech. Abdellatif works with assistants, other licensed guides and authorised tourist transport providers to help travellers experience Morocco.
WHAT ESCAPE TO MOROCCO PROVIDES
Your written guide-service confirmation may include:
– the services of Abdellatif Bougoula or another appropriately licensed Moroccan guide;
– itinerary discussion and route-planning assistance;
– communication and scheduling support from the Escape to Morocco team; and
– entrance fees for the monuments specifically listed in the confirmation.
An assistant or driver does not perform licensed cultural guiding unless that person also holds the required guide licence.
TRANSPORT IS A SEPARATE SERVICE
Private transport is supplied by an independent, authorised tourist transport provider using its professional drivers and authorised vehicles.
The transport provider gives you its own quotation or confirmation, issues its own invoice or receipt and receives the transport payment directly. Its payment, cancellation, insurance and service terms apply to the transport contract.
Escape to Morocco may help coordinate the route and introduce you to the transport provider, but the guide fee does not include the transport provider’s charge.
ACCOMMODATION AND OTHER EXCLUSIONS
Unless a written confirmation expressly says otherwise, the following are not included in the Escape to Morocco guide service:
– accommodation;
– meals and drinks;
– flights;
– travel insurance;
– visas and vaccinations;
– transport-provider charges;
– optional activities not specifically listed;
– tips; and
– personal expenses.
Travellers choose, book and pay accommodation directly with the hotel or booking provider. Each provider’s own terms apply.
WHEN THE GUIDE SERVICE IS BOOKED
The guide service is booked only when:
1. you accept the written guide-service quotation and its stated terms;
2. any required guide-service payment is received in cleared funds; and
3. Escape to Morocco sends written confirmation.
The transport and accommodation arrangements are separate bookings and do not become confirmed merely because the guide service is confirmed.
7. PAYMENT
Pay Escape to Morocco only the amount shown on the guide-service quotation, including any monument fees expressly listed there.
Pay the authorised transport provider directly for transport. Pay hotels and other independent providers directly for their services.
Do not send payment-card details through the website enquiry form, email or WhatsApp.
8. CHANGES AND CANCELLATION
Request a guide-service change or cancellation in writing. The change and cancellation terms stated in the accepted guide-service confirmation apply.
Changes or cancellations involving transport, accommodation or another independent service must also be handled directly with that provider under its separate terms .
If the confirmed guide becomes unavailable, Escape to Morocco will offer an appropriately licensed substitute guide where possible. If no acceptable substitute can be provided, amounts received by Escape to Morocco for the unavailable guide service will be refunded.
9. CONDITIONS OUTSIDE REASONABLE CONTRO
Weather, road closures, government action, public-health events, security incidents and other conditions outside reasonable control may require changes to timing, meeting points or the route. Escape to Morocco will explain necessary changes and try to provide a reasonable alternative for the guide service.
The authorised transport provider remains responsible for decisions and performance concerning its vehicles, drivers and transport contract.
10. PASSPORTS, VISAS, HEALTH AND INSURANCE
Travellers are responsible for passports, visas, border requirements, vaccinations and current official travel advice.
Tell Escape to Morocco before booking about any mobility, accessibility, dietary or health need relevant to the guiding arrangements.
Travellers should obtain suitable travel insurance covering medical treatment, evacuation, cancellation, interruption, baggage, personal liability and planned activities.
11. CONDUCT AND SAFETY
Travellers must follow reasonable safety instructions and respect Moroccan law, local customs, communities and sites. Participation may be ended if a traveller’s conduct creates a serious safety risk, is unlawful or makes continued guiding unreasonable.
12. PROBLEMS AND COMPLAINTS
Tell your guide promptly if a problem occurs during the guide service so there is a reasonable opportunity to help.
If the issue is not resolved, email info@escapetomorocco.com with the service date, a clear description and relevant documents. Escape to Morocco will acknowledge the complaint and aim to respond in writing within 14 days.
Complaints about transport, accommodation or another independent service should be sent directly to that provider.
