Private Tours & Customisation
Are your Morocco tours private?
Yes. Escape to Morocco plans fully private journeys for your party only.
There are no fixed group departures and no shared vehicles with other travellers.
Your route, pace, and services are arranged around your trip and preferences.
Can I customise an itinerary?
Yes. The published itineraries are starting points only.
You can adjust the route, number of days, overnight stops, pace, accommodation level, and activities according to your interests. We will advise you honestly on what works best for the time you have available.
You can begin with any of our private Morocco tours or request a fully custom route.
Do I have to choose one of the published tours?
No. You can start with an existing itinerary or request a journey based entirely on your own plans.
If you already know your arrival city, departure city, and the number of days you have, that is enough for us to begin.
Can I combine cities, desert and coast in one private itinerary?
Yes. Many travellers combine Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains, the Sahara Desert, Fes, and the Atlantic coast in a single private journey.
The exact combination depends on how many days you have and how much driving you prefer. We will propose a realistic route that balances the places you want to see with a comfortable pace.
Pricing & Booking
How much does a private Morocco tour cost?
The final price depends on the confirmed route and the services included.
Here are the main factors that influence the cost:
| Factor | How it affects the price |
|---|---|
| Travel dates & season | Peak season (spring & autumn) is usually higher |
| Number of travellers | Price per person usually decreases with larger groups |
| Length of the trip | Longer itineraries increase the overall cost |
| Accommodation level | Standard, mid-range or luxury riads |
| Transport & guiding | Private vehicle + licensed guides |
| Activities & experiences | Optional activities can be added or removed |
Your written proposal will clearly show the total price, what is included, and what is not included so you can decide with full transparency.
Is an enquiry a booking commitment?
No. Submitting an enquiry simply starts the planning conversation. It does not commit you to book.
How far in advance should I enquire?
Earlier planning usually gives more flexibility, especially during popular travel periods.
If your trip is approaching soon, still send your dates — we will tell you honestly what remains realistic.
What is usually included in a private Morocco tour?
Most private journeys include private vehicle with professional driver, licensed local guides where needed, accommodation as confirmed, daily breakfast, and airport transfers.
Your Itinerary
How many days do I need in Morocco?
The ideal length depends on the places you want to include and the pace you prefer.
- A focused trip of 5–7 days works well for Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains, and a Sahara experience.
- 8–10 days allows a comfortable combination of imperial cities and the desert.
- 12–15 days gives more breathing room to include northern Morocco or the Atlantic coast without rushing.
For a detailed comparison of popular trip lengths, read How Many Days in Morocco?.
Can you help if I do not know where to go?
Yes.
Simply tell us how many days you have, where you expect to arrive and depart, and what interests you most (culture, desert, mountains, coast, or a mix).
Those details are enough for us to begin shaping a private itinerary that matches your style.
Can the itinerary change after I receive the proposal?
Yes. You can discuss adjustments before booking.
Any changes may affect the route, availability, services, or price, so the revised details are always confirmed in writing.
Can you plan a route based on my arrival and departure cities?
Yes. Many travellers arrive in one city and depart from another (for example, arriving in Marrakech and leaving from Fes or Casablanca).
We design the itinerary around your actual flights so the journey flows naturally without unnecessary backtracking.
Guides & Travel Support
Who will guide my tour?
Escape to Morocco works with licensed cultural guides, professional drivers, and local specialists according to the route and confirmed arrangements.
Abdellatif Bougoula leads the planning approach and may guide selected journeys depending on the dates, route, and availability.
Your written proposal always makes the guiding and driving arrangements clear before you book.
Will I have the same guide throughout the journey?
Not necessarily. The best arrangement depends on the route and the services included.
Some private journeys use a professional driver for the full trip combined with licensed city or cultural guides in specific destinations (for example in Marrakech, Fes, or the Sahara).
Other itineraries may have the same guide-driver throughout when it creates a better experience.
The exact roles are confirmed in your proposal so there are no surprises.
Best Time to Visit Morocco
When is the best time to visit Morocco?
For most routes, spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most comfortable. Days are warm rather than hot, which suits combining imperial cities, the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara in one journey.
There is no single best season for everyone, though. The right time depends on the regions you want to see, how much heat or cold you are happy with, and whether you want to spend time on the coast, in the mountains or in the desert.
For a month-by-month breakdown, read Best Time to Visit Morocco.
Is spring a good time to visit Morocco?
Yes. Spring is one of the best seasons for a classic route. City temperatures are usually pleasant for walking the medinas, the Atlas valleys are green, and the Sahara is warm without being extreme. It is also a popular period, so earlier planning gives you more choice of riads and routes.
Is autumn a good time to visit Morocco?
Yes. September can still be hot inland, but from October the desert becomes much more comfortable, and cities and mountains are pleasant. Autumn works particularly well for the 8-Day Morocco Highlights and 10-Day Imperial Cities & Sahara routes.
Can I travel to Morocco in summer?
Yes, but route choice matters. From June to August, inland cities such as Marrakech and Fes can be very hot, and the Sahara is hotter still. Coastal areas like Essaouira stay noticeably cooler, and parts of the High Atlas offer relief at altitude.
A summer itinerary is usually built around the coast and mountains, with fewer inland hours and more flexible daily timing. If you want the Sahara in summer, the route should be planned carefully around the heat.
Is winter a good time to visit Morocco?
It can be. From December to February, days in Marrakech and the southern cities are often mild and sunny, which makes it a good time for sightseeing without the summer heat.
Desert nights and the mountains can be very cold, and snow is possible in the High Atlas. Fes and the north can be cooler and wetter. A winter route should reflect this, with warm layers for the Sahara and flexibility for the weather.
Does Ramadan affect travel to Morocco?
Ramadan moves earlier each year, so check the dates for your trip. Travel is still possible and many visitors find it a meaningful time to visit. Some restaurants keep shorter hours during the day, and the pace of daily life changes, so we plan sightseeing and meals around it.
How do I choose the right month for my trip?
Tell us your dates, or the months you are considering, and the regions you want to include. We will explain what to expect and shape the route around the season. You can do that through Plan Your Trip.
Safety & Practical Travel Tips
Is Morocco safe for tourists?
Millions of travellers visit Morocco each year, and most trips pass without serious problems. As in any destination, safety depends on where you go, when you travel and how you prepare.
Use the same awareness you would in any busy city, and check your government’s current travel advice for your nationality and travel dates, since conditions can change. For a fuller picture, read Is Morocco Safe?
Is Morocco safe for solo and female travellers?
Many solo and female travellers visit Morocco and enjoy it. Attention from strangers, especially in busy medinas, can be persistent, and it helps to know what to expect. Dressing modestly, planning arrivals in daylight and having a trusted driver or guide for transfers can make the experience more relaxed.
Tell us if you are travelling alone and we will plan the pace, accommodation and transport with that in mind.
Do I need a guide everywhere?
No. Some places benefit greatly from a licensed cultural guide, especially the old medinas of Fes and Marrakech, where a guide helps with navigation and context. Other places, such as a coastal town or a quiet riad, may suit independent time.
A private journey can combine guided visits with free time according to your interests.
Do I need a visa or any entry documents?
Entry requirements depend on your nationality and can change, so check them before you book flights. Most travellers need a valid passport, and some nationalities need a visa or other pre-travel approval. Our guide to Morocco Entry Formalities explains what to check, and your official government source should be treated as the final word.
What should I wear in Morocco?
Morocco is a Muslim country, and modest, comfortable clothing is respectful and practical, especially in medinas, villages and religious areas. Lightweight layers that cover shoulders and knees work well for most travellers. Pack warm layers for desert nights and the mountains, and comfortable walking shoes for uneven medina streets.
Is it safe to drink the water and eat street food?
Most visitors drink bottled water and choose busy, popular places to eat. If you have a sensitive stomach, ask your guide or riad where locals eat. Let us know about dietary needs in advance, and we will plan around them.
What about money, cards and tipping?
The local currency is the Moroccan dirham, which is generally obtained inside Morocco. Cards are accepted in many hotels and larger restaurants, but cash is useful in markets, small cafés and rural areas. Tipping is customary for guides, drivers and restaurant staff, and your proposal can explain what is typical for your route.
Can I use my phone and get mobile data?
Yes. Many visitors use a local SIM or an eSIM, and Wi-Fi is common in hotels and riads. Coverage can be limited in remote desert and mountain areas, so we recommend downloading offline maps and keeping key contact details saved.
Do you help if something goes wrong during the trip?
Yes. Our Marrakech-based team stays reachable during your journey, so you can contact us about delays, changes or concerns. Your proposal should make the guiding, driving and support arrangements clear before you book.
What Happens After You Enquire
What happens after I send my enquiry?
- We review your details. We look at your dates, available time, route ideas and priorities.
- We shape your itinerary. We propose a route and confirm the services we can offer for your dates.
- You receive a written proposal. It sets out the route, services, inclusions, exclusions and price basis, so you can review everything before deciding.
- You decide. You can ask questions, request changes or take your time. Nothing is booked until you choose to go ahead.
How quickly will I hear back?
We aim to reply within [24 hours]. If your trip is close, mention your travel dates in your first message so we can tell you what is realistic.
What should I include in my enquiry?
Share as much as you know about:
- Travel dates, or the months you are considering
- Number of travellers
- Trip length
- Arrival city and departure city
- Main interests, such as medinas, the Sahara, the Atlas Mountains or the coast
- Preferred pace
- Accommodation preference
You do not need every detail confirmed before contacting us. If you are still deciding, tell us what you have so far and we will help with the rest.
Is sending an enquiry a booking commitment?
No. An enquiry begins the planning process and does not commit you to book. You will only be asked to confirm after you have reviewed your written proposal.
What if I do not know where to go?
That is fine. Tell us how many days you have, where you expect to arrive and depart, and what interests you most. Those details are enough to start shaping a route. You can also read How Many Days in Morocco? for ideas.
Can I change the proposal after I receive it?
Yes. You can discuss adjustments before booking. Changes can affect the route, availability, services or price, so we confirm the revised details in writing.
How do I confirm and pay for my trip?
If you are happy with the proposal, we explain the next steps, including how to confirm and how payment works. Deposit, payment and cancellation terms are set out in our Booking Conditions.
Still Have Questions About Your Morocco Trip?
